Before becoming a full theatrical production, Cestrum was developed through a series of artistic experiments and a showcase performance.

The showcase functioned as a first physical manifestation of the project — an opportunity to test the language of Cestrum in front of an audience and to discover how its literary world could exist through bodies, sound, costume and space.

It was deliberately created as something between a theatre rehearsal, an experimental performance, a fashion presentation and a live musical experience.

The audience encountered fragments of the Cestrum universe rather than a conventional finished theatrical structure.
